Eugene Edward Kopacz
May 20th, 1929 - March 9th, 2014
"Eugene Kopacz, beloved father and grandfather passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014. Born May 20, 1929 in Southbridge, MA, he was a long time resident of Palmer, MA before relocating to Chesapeake, VA in 2003. Eugene worked at Monson Developmental Center as a caregiver for several years. He was an avid Red Sox fan and loved attending his grandchildren's various sporting events. Eugene was active in his community recreational committee upon moving to Chesapeake. Left to cherish his memory are his sons Kevin and Peter Sr. and his wife Margaret, his daughter Maryann, along with his grandchildren, Jacqueline, Peter Jr., Michael, Kelsey, and Jesse. Eugene was predeceased by his loving wife, Virginia. The family will receive friends at Beers and Story Palmer Funeral Home on Saturday, March 15th from 9 to 10 am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Palmer at 10:30 am.
