Robert Keigan Barry
December 9th, 1933 - March 16th, 2023
He left this life early on the morning of Thursday March 16th, 2023 at the age of 89. Born in Alexandria, Virginia December 9th, 1933, and was one of five siblings. Educated at the George Washington High School in Alexandria, VA and lived with his family at their home on East Luray Avenue until 1954. Lived in Maryland from 1955 until 1973, when he moved to Nashville, TN, where he lived for two years. He returned to Alexandria, Va in 1975, where he lived the rest of his life. Attended George Washington University, where he received a Bachelor and Master Degree. Worked in Private industry for most of his early career, retiring from the Computer Sciences Corporation in 1990, then working an additional 10 years for the FBI in Washington, DC, retiring from the FBI in 2000. He was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria, Va. Was preceded in death by his father Joseph Edward Barry in 1989, his mother Ruth Myrtle Davis Barry in 2001, his brother John Richard Barry in 1996, his brother James J Barry in 2021, brother Thomas E. Barry in 2022. Is survived by his only sister JoAnne E. Barry and her husband Kenneth Boulton of Aberdeen, South Dakota. Also survived by his wife of 48 years Judith D. Barry, two sons Ronald K Barry and his husband Clarence A. Comer, Randall K. Barry and his husband David Barnett. Two daughters, Lisa M. Barry and her husband Reggie Prestwood and Teresa L. Lewis and her husband Glen Lewis. Was blessed with three grandchildren, Jack and Sam Prestwood, and Lauren Lewis. Also had many aunts, uncles and cousins living in Ohio and elsewhere. Nephews and nieces living in Virginia. The family will receive friends on Saturday April 22, 2023 at 11:00am at the funeral chapel on the grounds of the Mount Comfort Cemetery, 6600 South Kings Highway, Alexandria, Virginia.
