Advent Funeral & Cremation Services - Falls Church
Braden T. Deahl
March 17th, 2005 - May 29th, 2023
Braden Deahl, 18, of Falls Church, Virginia, passed away May 29, 2023. He was a senior at Washington Liberty High School where he played Center Back for the Varsity Soccer team. Braden also played for Arlington Soccer’s travel team. He had been recruited to St. Mary’s College of Maryland where he was planning to attend school and play soccer in the fall. Braden is survived by his parents, Juli Swanson and Martin Deahl, sister Lyra Deahl, girlfriend Emely Loza, beloved pets Yukon and Spicy, aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends that he considered brothers. Braden was a fiercely loyal friend and teammate with a passion for soccer and a love of life. He was described by coaches as having the heart of a lion, indispensable in the back field, and a pleasure to coach. He was also a lover of adventure, whether on the ski slopes (a true dare devil on the double black diamonds) or in the ocean (the bigger the waves the better). He was a loving son, brother, and friend to many. A young man whose light “burned bright” and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Braden’s family has established the Braden Deahl Memorial Fund in his memory where donations may be made in lieu of flowers.
