"Loraine A. (Cote) Neveu, 61, of Amherst Street died Saturday, April 15, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family, after a courageous fight with cancer. Born in Holyoke, September 13, 1944, she grew up in Chicopee and has lived in Granby for 42 years. A generous and caring woman, Loraine gave much of her life to her family, her friends and her church. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be deeply missed by her husband of 44 years, Roger P. Neveu, along with her seven children, Steven and his wife Rayanne, their children Cameron, Olivia, Leona and Bridger, of S. Hadley, Philip and his wife Linda, their children Ryan, Rachel, Brigitte, and Malorie, and Douglas and his wife Debra, their children Kirsten and Tyler, all of Granby, Ronald and his wife Alexis, their children Celia, Taylor and Roger, of Ludlow, Sharon Orr and her husband Andrew, their children Avery, Claire and Craig, of Belchertown, Manda Wells and her husband David, their children Lauren and Aidan, of Shrewsbury, and Monica Neveu and her partner Marianne, their children Adrien, and twins Dillon and Mason, along with Brian and Stephanie, of Goshen. She also leaves two sisters, Rita Starzyk of S. Hadley and Pamela Plouffe of Chicopee, and two brothers, Robert Cote of Chicopee and Edward Cote of S. Hadley. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph A.(2005) and Cecile R. (St. Sauveur) Cote (2004). A Celebration of Life Service with pictorial tribute will be Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story S. Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St., (Rte. 116). Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. There will be a liturgy of Christian burial on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church followed by burial in West Street Cemetery. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home for 9:00 a.m. or meet directly at the church. For those wishing, donations may be made in her memory to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, State St., Granby, 01033. "
