"Three Rivers - Joseph P. Pietrowski, 75, died on June 13, 2010 in the VA Medical Center in Northampton. He was born October 21, 1934 in Webster, son of Anthony and Jane (Kruzewski) Piotrowski. Joseph proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the reserves for 14 years. He worked as a medical technologist for 27 years at the former Ludlow Hospital, retiring in 1995. He had also worked at Wing Memorial Hospital and Monson Developmental Center previously. He was a communicant of St. Anne's Church and a member of St. Stan's Polish Club, Amvets and the Knights of Columbus. He will be missed by his five sons, Paul Pietrowski and Suzanne of Palmer, Michael Pietrowski and his wife Diana of Ware, Jim Pietrowski and his wife Sandra of Swanzey, NH, David Pietrowski and his wife Rose of S. Deerfield, and Kevin Pietrowski and his wife Katie of Ware. He will also be missed by a brother Robert Piotrowski of Waterbury, VT, along with 12 grandchildren Jeffrey, Tanya, Jeremy, Anthony, Nicholas, Dustin, Kaila, Randy, Kyle, Ashley, Megan and Allison and 10 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille (Pion) Pietrowski in 2003 and a brother Edward Piotrowski. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, June 17 for 9:15 am to process to a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church on Main St., in Three Rivers. Burial will follow in the St. Anne's Cemetery, Three Rivers. Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. "
