Douglas J. Lamb

Douglas (Doug) James Lamb, 64, passed away in Falls Church, Virginia, on December 25, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Jacqueline (nee Lefebvre) and loving father of Mitchell Douglas and Marshall Douglas. Doug served for 30 years as a Diplomatic Security Special Agent to the U.S. Department of State. During his career, Doug was assigned to offices in New York, NY, Washington, DC, Dunn Loring, VA, Bonn, Germany, and Sarajevo, Bosnia, in various positions: Regional Security Officer, Section Chief, and Supervisory Criminal Investigator. Doug was born in Texas and raised in Woldingham, U.K. and Chappaqua, NY. He attended Horace Greeley High School and St. Lawrence College, both in New York. Doug played football for St. Lawrence, coached his son’s baseball and football teams in McLean, VA, and was an award-winning skier until a few years prior to his death. Doug was predeceased by his mother, Delores, his father, James, and his only sibling, Gregory. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 4, 10:00am, at St. James Catholic Church, 905 Park Ave, Falls Church, VA 22046 followed by burial service at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA. Reception to follow at the Italian Café, 7161 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, VA 22046.
