"Palmer-Eleanor Robbins Boone, 87, died May 21, 2010 at her daughter's home. Born in Springfield April 13, 1923, she settled in Palmer after WWII. Eleanor was co-founder of Boone Trailers Inc. in 1946 and founded Palmer Trailer Sales Co. Inc. in 1963. She was a member of Carrie A. Cushing #225 Revere Chapter #40 Order of the Eastern Star and Ahlem Temple # 84 Daughters of the Nile in Springfield. Eleanor also organized and was first President of Monson Lioness Club, a former member of Business & Professional Women's Club and member of the National Truck Equipment Assoc. as well as being on the Board of Corporators of Monson Savings Bank. She leaves four beloved children, A. John "Jack" Boone III and his wife Kathleen of Wales, Daniel W. Boone and his wife Elaine of Bondsville, Sandra B. Morgan and her husband William and Cheryl B. Lucia and her husband Gary all of Wales. "Nana" also leaves 9 beloved grandchildren, Tamara Morgan Smith, William Morgan, Jr., Sarah Lucia Shaw, Amanda Lucia Harowfield, Ryan and Ross Boone, Megan, Jillian and Alicia Boone as well as 10 beloved great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Shriners Hospital, Carew St., Springfield MA. Services will be held for the family at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Bronze section of Hillcrest Park Cemetery in Springfield, MA. "
