Paul J. Deblois
July 23rd, 1915 - March 8th, 2006
"Belchertown- Paul J. Deblois, 90, of Chauncey Walker St. passed away March 8 in Mt. Airy, MD at his son’s house after a long illness. He was born July 23, 1915, in Springfield, the son of the late Paul J. and Marie Anne (Lemoine) Deblois. Paul served his country in the U.S. Army as a carpenter in B Company 4th regiment during WWII. He was employed at Gilbert and Barker as well as Crompton Knowles. Paul retired from Bolduc Trophies in W. Springfield in 1983 after many years of employment. He has lived in Belchertown since 1980, is a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, a volunteer for the Belchertown Senior Center and a Knight of Columbus. Paul leaves his wife of 65 years, Anita (Bolduc), two sons, Paul M. and his wife Bonnie of Mt. Airy, MD, Robert J. of Wales, and siblings Roland Deblois, Bernadette Cote, Rose Douillard, Irene Douillard, and Jeanette Denoncourt. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Michelle Turner and husband James, Craig Deblois, Kelly Deblois, Heather Cathalinat and husband Scott, Lisa Frade and husband Joseph, Melissa Wells and husband John as well as seven great grandchildren Justin Hubach, Dean Deblois, Haley and Madison Bernard, Paul and Katie Wells, and Joseph Frade. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 at St. Francis Church. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Francis Building Fund, P.O. Box 612, Belchertown. Council on Aging, 60 State St. Belchertown, or Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702. "
