Henrietta C. Lukasik
November 12th, 1917 - February 9th, 2006
"Henrietta C. (Skwarlo) Lukasik, 88, of Pearl Street, died February 9, 2006 at Sunbridge of Hadley. Born November 12, 1917, in Holyoke MA, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Mary Skwarlo. Henrietta resided in South Hadley her entire life. Early on she worked at the”Book Shop Inn” in South Hadley and in 1948 founded and operated with her husband Henry, The Lukasik Game Farm She was very devoted to her family and faith in God. She enjoyed her business, hiking and gardening and volunteered at the Center School in South Hadley. She was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1983. She will be deeply missed by her son Henry and his wife Marie of South Hadley along with her 5 cherished grandchildren, Henry, Jr. of Fayettville, AR, Matthew of Ozark, AR., Thomas, Anne and Charles all of South Hadley. She was also predeceased by 4 sisters and 1 brother. A funeral service will be on Monday at 8:45 am from the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, followed by a Mass at 10:00 am in Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke. Burial will follow the Mass at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2:00-5:00pm. Donations may be made in Henrietta’s memory to Mater Dolorosa School Fund. "
