Christina Jack was the youngest child born to Matilda Alfred and Amos Jack on December 18, 1930, in Tobago of Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies. Christina is survived by her daughters, Sherma and Rita, her grandchildren, Antonia (Tony), David, and Christopher (Ashley); Great Grandchildren, Jonathan, Sean, Sidni, Joshua, Justice, Kirsten & King; by nephew Michael Alleyne, nieces Wendy Jack, Carla Jack, and Keisha and Betty Ann Biggart, Barbara Toney, a host of other nieces and nephews; adopted daughters Melony Griffith (Lloyd and Cornell) and Vanessa Foss (Devon and Noelle); loving friends/family Hollis Lashley, Marie and Yves Cadelien, Gregory Myrville, also the TNT family connection; the Alfred, Jack, Toney, Biggart families, the Powell family of Jamaica and great neighbors Robert Ganz & family and The Parnell Family. She is also survived by her great grand-dogs Marley, Charlie, and Mick. She was preceded by her big brothers Sonny and Nathaniel. She spent most of her adult life in Venezuela doing home health care and learning Spanish fluently. She came to the states in the 1960’s and once established she sent for her daughters, Sherma, and Rita. She took nursing classes and worked at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center for ~27 years. She was also a union delegate for 1199: The National Health Care Workers’ Union in New York. In 1977 she married Fitzroy “Dice” Williams of Trinidad & Tobago who also preceded her in death. In 2007 she married Owen A. Powell of Manchester, Jamaica who also preceded her in death.
