"Scottsville, VA- Corinne A. (DiVecchio) Rourke, 54, previously of Palmer and Granby, died December 28, 2005 at home with her family by her side. Born December 19, 1951, in Palmer, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Shirley (Rooney) DeVecchio. Corinne lived in the Granby and Connecticut area before moving to South Carolina and Virginia in the past year. She graduated from Palmer High School and was employed as a nurse in the ICU of local VA Hospitals and served her country during the Vietnam era in the U.S. Air Force. Cory is survived by her husband of 24 years, Thomas, and children Jason of VA, Thomas of VA, and Lindsey of FL. She also leaves three grandsons Cameron, Parker, and Jayden along with siblings Rocco DiVecchio of Ware, Bonnie Carbonneau of Palmer, and James Lamb of FL. A service of remembrance with military honors and a video tribute will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Visitation will precede the service from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Piedmont, 2200 Old Ivy Rd., Charlottesville, VA 22903. "
