Donald W. Ellithorpe
September 22nd, 1933 - October 30th, 2013
"Palmer - Donald W. Ellithorpe, 80, of East St in Three Rivers, died on October 30, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center. Born September 22, 1933 in Palmer, MA, he was the son of Charles Ellithorpe and Evelyn (Pate). Donald has lived in Palmer for most of his life and was a longtime truck driver. He also honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during Korea. During his youth, Donald enjoyed motorcycles and spent much of his time snowmobiling, golfing and boating along with vacationing with his family in New Hampshire. Donald leaves his wife of 60 years, Ellen (Howe), along with his children, Donna Clement and her husband Darryl of Caribou, ME, Coral Gilbert and her husband John of Three Rivers, and Mark Ellithorpe and his wife Christine of Bondsville. He also is survived by grandchildren Stacey Ross, Scott Bergeron, Holly Ellithorpe, Michelle Gauthier, Brian Ellithorpe, Amanda Ellithorpe, 8 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and dear companion puppy, Jake. Besides his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his brothers Clifford and Charles Ellithorpe. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. with closing words at 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home."
