October 26th, 1925 - July 17th, 2018
Jean Pierce Thomason passed away peacefully at Aldersgate on July 17, 2018. She was born Oct. 8 , 1928 in Margaret, AL. Jean was a proud graduate of the University of Alabama where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. The love of Alabama football was an important part of her life. Jean was a member of Quail Hollow Club for almost 50 years. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Bob four years ago. They were married 64 years at the time of his death. Jean is survived by her daughter Jane T Johnsen and her husband Sig, two granddaughters Katie Priester and her husband Jay and three great grandchildren, Jack, Anna, and Charlie, Laura Nix and her husband Tom. Jean’s love of animals was a great part of her life . There will be a small service in the garden of Myers Park United Methodist Church on Monday July 23 at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, she requests that any donations be made to the Animal Shelter on Toomey Ave.
