Daniel Charles Silva passed away on June 25, 2017, with his wife by his side at their home in Littleton, Colorado. Dan was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His family moved to New Jersey when he was 8 years old where he was given the name, “Little Man,” due to his athletic abilities on the baseball field. When Dan was 10 years old, his family moved to Colorado where he developed lifelong friendships with numerous individuals. He graduated from Bear Creek High School in Lakewood, Colorado, and participated on the wrestling and baseball teams. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Metropolitan State College while working in the restaurant industry. Dan began a successful career as a Real Estate Broker in 1992. He married the greatest love of his life, Lorna Kay Rino, in May 1992. Their son, Nickolas Daniel Silva, was born in October 1993, which Dan described as the happiest day of his life. It was very important to Dan to live life to the fullest; he loved to have fun. Dan enjoyed being around people and making people laugh with his dry sense of humor, which allowed him to make many situations humorous regardless of the circumstances. His charismatic personality and infectious laugh was loved by all who knew him. One of Dan’s loving characteristics was to give his friends and family members nicknames. He claimed the nicknames “Were just out there and would come to him.” When Dan’s niece, Sheila, was 4 years old, she gave Dan the nickname, “The Strongest Man in the World.” Dan was not only known as the strongest man in the world to his family, but he was our advisor, confidante, coach and best friend. Dan truly loved sports – football, baseball, basketball and UFC fighting. His sports knowledge – future and present – was immensely vast. He not only enjoyed watching sports but participated in football, baseball and softball as an adult. Dan shared his knowledge of baseball and basketball with not only with his son, but other young men as a coach and mentor. The world will never be the same without Daniel Charles Silva. He was truly loved by many and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
