" Belchertown – Clyde D. Croft, 55, of State St., died October 20, 2005 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Springfield, MA on Jan. 4, 1950, he is the son of Rita (Pieraccini) Dubour of Wake Forest, NC formerly of Feeding Hills and the late Enoch E. Croft. Clyde was a member of the Chicopee Sportsmen Club, Hampshire Co. Deputy Sheriff’s Association, Law Enforcement of America, Mass. Chiefs of Police Association and the NRA. He was a devoted husband, father and friend, a man of many skills and talents a man of adventure who will be missed dearly. Besides his mother he is survived by his wife of 32 years Bettie (Hawk) Croft, sons David and Jeffery Croft of North Port, FL, stepson Geoffrey Hawk of Matthews, NC and stepdaughter Tiffany Hawk of W. Springfield. He also leaves a sister Lillian Sambraus of Wake Forest, NC, grandchildren Zachary Croft of North Port, FL and expected granddaughter Ella Grace Hawk and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother John Croft of Southwick. A Funeral service will be Monday at 6:00 pm in the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Calling hours are Monday from 3:00-6:00 pm. Donations may be made in his memory to Baystate VNA & Hospice, 50 Maple St., Springfield, MA. "
