"Connie (Fiore) Ragusa, 74, of North Liberty St, died peacefully Saturday, September 26. Born in Brooklyn, NY, August 5, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Armando and Yolanda (Aiello) Fiore. She lived for many years in Brooklyn before moving to Belchertown in 1989. In her working career, she began as a teller at Marine Midland Bank and retired as an auditor from the Bank of Montreal after many years. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 24 years, Philip Ragusa, her son Charles Cavagnaro, III of Palmer, along with a sister Civita Simonelli and her husband Tony of Henderson, NV, and sister in law Patricia Fiore of Islip, NY. She also leaves a daughter Linda A. Spadafina of Staten Island, NY and a grandson John Spadafina, Jr. Besides her parents, her brother Vincent Fiore preceded her in death. Calling hours will be Wednesday, September 30 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story PALMER Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St, (Rte. 20). Friends may meet at St. Brigid's Church in Amherst on Thursday for a mass of Christian burial to begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Mausoleum. For those wishing, donations may be made to Wing Memorial Hospital, 40 Wright St., Palmer, 01069 or St. Jude Children's Hospital."
