Lisa Ann Rothrock

Lisa Ann Rothrock, age 60, of Hubert, North Carolina, formerly of Neenah, WI, passed away after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by her family on Friday, May 14, 2021. Born April 25, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, but grew up in Denver, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Hickman and Margaret Long Rothrock. After moving to Wausau, WI she attended Northwestern Tech College and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science. Lisa then moved to Neenah, WI beginning her career with Frigo Cheese and Plexus Corporation. She loved her kids, family, pets, and her Coca-Cola collection. Lisa enjoyed making canned salsa, jelly and jam, and cooking and baking for all of her family and friends - especially Sunday football games. Lisa kept herself busy making crochet and macramé crafts. She was an avid Sci-Fi fan and loved to go camping, and play in pool and darts leagues. She also loved to garden and spend time feeding birds and squirrels, and sitting out at night to count shooting stars. She was known for her kindness, stubbornness, and big heart. She always made sure to do one random act of kindness a day - often, this would take the form of donating to no-kill animal shelters, paying for people behind her in line, or complimenting a stranger. Anything that would spread joy and good karma. She is survived by her adoring children: Airyel Rothrock of Hubert, NC, Aleigha Clark and her husband, Taryn, of Oshkosh, WI, and Ryan Marmes of Menasha, WI; cherished pets: Lacy & Zoey Chihuahuas and Dr. Pepper Cat; sister: Frieda Rothrock, of Denver, CO; brothers: Tim "Bubba" Hickman of Wausau, WI, Larry Hickman and his wife, Frosty, of Minnesota, and Terry Marmes of Wausau, WI; nieces: Brenda Hickman & family of Wausau, WI, Marsha (Travis) Hickman & family of Wausau, WI, Chris (Rick) of Talley FL, and Katie Nordine & family of Florida; nephews: Mark Hickman, wife, Jennifer, & family of Minnesota, and Chuck Hickman, wife, Rosemary & family of Michigan; god son: Chad Adams & family of Wausau, WI; and many more loving family and friends. In addition to her parents, Lisa was predeceased by her brothers: Eugene and Terry Hickman; and aunts: Emily Johnson, Kit Christler and Virginia "Jenny" Finney.
