Robert W. Pos
January 30th, 1945 - April 16th, 2016
"Holyoke, Robert W. Pos, died on Saturday, April 16th at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Montague on January 30, 1945 and was the son of William and Stella (Siok) Pos. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War where he also met his wife of 43 years, the late Lee Pos. He worked as a Postal Clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in Amherst and Springfield before retiring in 2000. He enjoyed watching the Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics games on TV. He will be deeply missed by his four children, Robert H. Pos of Alexandria, VA, Maria Sliwa and her husband Kenneth of Chicopee, Joseph Pos of Gilsum, NH and David Pos of Greenfield along with his eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His sister, Rose Korowski and her husband Michael of Florence, MA also survive him. Calling hours will be on Sunday, April 24 from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. at Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St. Funeral services with military honors will be Monday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. at The Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, please meet at the cemetery. Donations in his name may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project."
