"Augusta Scott Griffin, 84 died quietly in her sleep on August 2 at Renaissance Manor in Holyoke, MA. Gussie, as she was affectionately known to friends, was predeceased by her husband, Howard D. Griffin, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia and her partner, Kathleen Neal of Belchertown, MA. She is also survived by her son, Howard D. Griffin, III, his wife, Carolyn, and grandsons, Adam, Alexander, Benjamin and Byron of Annapolis, MD. A native Washingtonian, Augusta lived in Silver Springs, MD most of her life. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Hines Rinaldi Funeral Home in Silver Springs, MD.
