"Belchertown - Edward F. Kamont, 62, of Jabish St., died on January 14, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. He was born August 11, 1950 in Holyoke, MA, son of the late Victor and Elizabeth (McGrath) Kamont. He was raised in South Hadley and has lived in Belchertown for the past 34 years. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. Ed was self employed as a tool & dye maker. He was a member of the Vernon Lodge and a retired member of the Phoenix Motorcycle Club. Ed was an outdoors man and a talented carpenter who loved riding his Harley. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Judy (Ritter) Kamont of Belchertown. He also leaves a sister Anne Cosmopoulos and husband George of Westfield, brother Stephen Kamont of CA, two brother in laws, Harry Ritter and wife Laurie of Belchertown, Richard Ritter and wife Susan, sister-in-law Gloria Neal and several nieces and nephews. A Calling hour will be Thursday, January 17th from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in South Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to Baystate VNA & Hospice."
