Sarah Jane Kellems Jarrell, 69, of Hickory, North Carolina, passed away Monday October 31, 2022. Born Monday, September 14, 1953, in North Miami, Florida, to the late Charles Kellems and Evelyn Short Kellems. Sarah enjoyed spending time with her pets, bird watching, sewing and baking. Sarah spent many years working for St. Patricks' Elementary school and being around children - watching them grow through the years. While working there she developed long lasting friendships and will be forever missed. Sarah is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, William Albert Jarrell, III; daughter, Emily Spake and her husband, Logan; son-in-law, Timothy Edwards; grandchildren: Brian and James Spake; and many more loving family and friends. In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her daughter, Beth Edwards. The family will receive friends From 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday, November 10, at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Boulevard Charlotte, NC 28203. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Beth Edwards to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society https://www.lls.org/
