Jessie Hine

"Williamsburg, VA-Jessie T. (Kanarkiewicz) Hine, 90, passed away December 27, 2012. Born May 24, 1922 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Liebner) Kanarkiewicz and one of nine children. While living in Palmer, MA, she was a member of the Rosary Sodality at St. Thomas Church in Palmer, the Mother's Club at the Second Baptist Church in Palmer and active as a Girl Scout leader. She held a variety of positions in the Palmer area including Grant's, Friendly's, Zeller Furriers, Jones Volkswagen in Springfield and was head of accounts receivable at Fairfield Dept Store in Fairfield, CT. Jessie and her husband Harold moved to Sun City Center, Ruskin, FL where they enjoyed their retirement. Jessie moved to Williamsburg, VA in 2003 after her husband Harold passed away. Jessie will be greatly missed by her daughters Teresa Vainoris and her husband Peter of Newington, CT, Patricia Daley and her husband Donald and Cynthia Jones and her husband Richard all of Williamsburg, VA. She also leaves 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sister Helen Delaney, brother John Kanarkiewicz, both of the Boston area, sister-in-law Bertha Hine of Palmer, and brothers-in-law Frances Hine of CT and Stanley Hine of TN. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5 at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home with a service to begin at 11:00 a.m. . Burial will follow in Oak Knoll Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CRUDEM Foundation, Inc. Hospital Sacre Coeur, 362 Sewall ST, PO Box 804, Ludlow, MA 01056 or Hospice House and Support, 4445 Powahatan Parkway, Williamsburg, VA.23188. "
