Ms. Ballew, 57, of Charlotte, NC, died at her residence on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Linda was born April 6, 1956, in Columbus, OH, a daughter of the late James and Gloria Vizzari Twining. She was a graduate of West Charlotte High School and was employed with Activate Promotional Marketing. Linda was a loving caring person who put her family and friends before herself and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Linda was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Twining Griffin. Survivors include her son, Nicholas Ballew of Garden City, SC; brothers, Ken Twining of Charlotte, NC and Jim Twining of Greenville, SC; nieces, Christina and Melissa Griffin; nephews, Eric, James, John, Michael and Stephen Twining and Will Griffin and Noah Ballew her only grandson. A service to celebrate Linda's life will be held 3:00 PM Monday, October 7, 2013, in the chapel of Hankins & Whittington. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Presbyterian Hospice & Palliative Care, PO Box 33549, Charlotte, NC 28233.
