Bertrand L. Dupuis
January 13th, 1908 - September 16th, 2008
"Palmer-Bertrand L. Dupuis, 100, of Overlook Dr., passed away September 16, 2008 at Life Care Center of Wilbraham. Born January 13, 1908 in Three Rivers, MA, he was the son of the late Simeon H. and Rosamond (Morrisette) Dupuis. Bertrand has lived in Palmer for all of his life and was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. He previously worked at the Springfield Armory and Morgan Spring Plant before working and retiring from the Third National Bank in Palmer. He enjoyed ballroom dancing and telling jokes and was a volunteer at Monson Developmental Center in the foster grandparent program. He was very proud to be the recipient of the Golden Cane in 2006 for being the oldest man in Palmer. Bertrand was predeceased by his wife Hanora T. (Crean) in 1993 and will greatly missed by his children Anne Emerich and her husband David of Amherst, Ohio, Robert Dupuis and his wife Dianne of Palmer, Bernard Dupuis and his wife Mary of Duxbury, MA and William Dupuis and his wife Allyson of Monson along with 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Besides his wife, he was also predeceased by his brother Roland Dupuis. Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Friends and family may gather Saturday at 9:00 a.m. to process to St. Thomas Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. with burial in St. Anne's Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to the Resident Activity Account, Life Care Center of Wilbraham, 2399 Boston Rd., Wilbraham, MA 01095. "
