Emillien A Cormier
June 30th, 1916 - May 9th, 2003
" Emillien A. Cormier, 86, of Pine Hill Dr. passed away May 9, 2003 at home. Born June 30, 1916, he was the son of the late Ulysses and Aldea (Provencher) Cormier. He has lived in Palmer since 1970, previously of Ludlow and Springfield. Mr. Cormier was employed as a stone engraver at Normandeau Memorial in W.Springfield for 45 years before his retirement in 1987. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He also was a life member of the American Legion Montpeiler,VT Post #3 as well as other organizations including the Eagles in Springfield and V.F.W. in VT. Emillien was predeceased by his wife Winifred (Fish) in 1975. He is survived by his four children Russell Cormier of Denver,CO, Roland Cormier of Feeding Hills, Philip Cormier of Austin,TX and Elizabeth Quarterson of Wilbraham. He also leaves 5 grandchildren. To all of his friends and family, “Remember me as I was”. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at St. Thomas Cemetery. Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements. Memorial contribution may be made in his memory to Quaboag Valley Hospice, 103 Fairview St. Palmer,MA 01069. "
