Ralph Sonny'' R. Judd

" Ralph “Sonny” R. Judd, 62, of Jim Ash Rd., died Sunday at home. Born in North Troy, VT on Dec. 11, 1940 he was the son of the late Ralph Judd & Mona (Braford) Choquette. Sonny was raised in North Troy, VT and has resided in Palmer since 1980. He owned and operated Palmer Pest Control for 18 years, as well as worked for the Town of Palmer as Vermin inspector. Sonny was a lifetime member of Amvets, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in W. Warren, and belonged to the Brigham Lodge AF & AM in Ludlow. He leaves his wife of 17 years Beverly (Waldron) Judd. He is survived by 2 sons Ronnie of HydePark, VT and Ronald of Franklin, NH, 4 stepsons Ron Tolken of Ludlow, Edward of Ware, Brian & Rick Tolken both of Palmer. Sonny leaves a brother Larry Judd of Upton, MA, 2 sisters Donna Darling of Ellington, CT and Sandra Burkard of Orland, FL, a step-father Paul Choquette of North Troy, VT also 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. His faithful companion Misty will also miss him. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 4:00 pm at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4:00pm. Burial is private. The family has asked that donations be made in his memory to Quaboag Valley Hospice, 103 Fairview St., Palmer, 01069 or to a local animal shelter of choice. "
