Paul T. Frangias Paul Frangias, 74, of Charlotte, NC, passed away at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, nc on Wednesday, August 10, 2011. He was born on June 29, 1937, in Greenwood, SC, the son of the late Anthony Nicholas Frangias and Eleftheria Kremedis Frangias. After graduation from Greenwood High School, he pursued a degree of Design at the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, FL graduating with a B.A. in Fine Arts and Interior Design. He also attended Parsons School of Arts in New York City. Paul settled in Charlotte in 1963 working at Dorseys Furniture Co., then Colony Furniture Shoppes, and retired from Boyles Furniture in July of 2000. He was well respected in the interior design community for helping decorate some of the finest homes in this area and remained in contact and friends for many years with the many homeowners to whom he gave his expertise advice. Mr. Frangias is survived by his brother, Nicholas Frangias and wife, Gwen of Anderson, SC, as well as many special friends and neighbors, in particular, Brian and Lisa Carrigan and their children, Kay Rainwater, Ron and Maria Wheatley, Helen and Gerry Clonaris, Nick and Olga Kleto and others from the community who will miss him. Also, in his last months he was grateful to be surrounded by his loving and respectful caregivers. The Trisagion and funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 12, 2011, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral with Father Michael Varvarelis officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery Memorials may be made to the Ministry Fund at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 600 East Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28203 or Levine & Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Dr., Huntersville, NC 28078.
