Harold Dudley Woodson Harold Dudley Woodson of Cornelius, NC passed away on June 6, 2011, surrounded by his family. Born July 14, 1937, in Halifax County, VA, son of the late Frances Moore Woodson and Earlie Edward Woodson. Harold served in the US Army, graduated from the Charlotte Business College and was employed by Keller Crescent (formerly Rexham Packaging, Riegel Paper) for 52 years. Harold was an integral part of the La-tea-da's Catering team, the family business. He was an active member of Lake Norman Baptist Church and a former member of Eastway-Eastfield Christian Church where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. Known to those closest to him as "Pops", he was a beloved and devoted family man and a special friend to many. The family, friends, neighbors, and staff of La-tea-da?s will miss him and cherish our special memories forever. Harold is survived by his wife, Chrys, daughter Janet Leigh Woodson, (Mark Baldwin) Blaine, Gail and ?his boy? Cameron Blevins of Mooresville, NC; sister Nancy McBride (Bobby) of Danville, VA, brother Charles Woodson (Jeanette); nieces Cindy Barringer (Chip) and Amy Frederickson (Kent, Kensley, Keaton) of Yanceyville, NC; Special Aunt Cornelia Moore of Alton, VA. and Stepfather Lawrence Butler of Sutherlin, VA. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. William Mitchell, Dr. Robert Monson and his personal nurse and friend, Leah LeClerc for their tireless efforts and dedication to healing and caring for our entire family during this difficult journey. A service to celebrate the life of Harold Woodson will take place Thursday, June 9, at 3pm at St. Peters Episcopal Church, 115 W. Seventh St., Charlotte. A reception will follow upstairs in the Martha T. Bowles Parish Hall. Parking for the service is available in the Transamerica parking garage. Please take your ticket to the church for validation. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Fighting Cancer, 109 Holly Drive, Mount Holly, NC 28120, www.fightingcancerinc.org or the charity of the donor?s choice.
