March 25th, 1940 - January 17th, 2003
" Palmer—Ruth M. (Young) Buzzard, 62, of Randall St., died Friday at Baystate Medical Center. Born Mar. 25, 1940 in Springfield, MA, she has resided in Palmer for most of her life. She worked at Monson Developmental Center for many years, as a housekeeping supervisor, retiring in 1994 Ruth was a member of the Swift River Sportsmen’s Club. She was recently predeceased by her husband Lionel E. Buzzard on Jan. 8, 2003. She is survived by a daughter Lynn Mainville and her husband Raymond of Palmer, a son Michael P. Mahitka and his wife Jenifer of Brimfield, 2 brothers Stanley Young of Hawaii, Earl Young of Fl, 3 sisters Carol Holmes of TX, Eileen Young of FL & Cathy Cagle of Bondsville. She also leaves 4 grandchildren Melissa, Kaitlynn, Ryan and Nathaniel. Funeral services will be Monday from the BEERS & STORY PALMER FUNERAL HOME, followed by a mass at 9:30 am in Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Three Rivers. Burial will follow in Quabbin Park Cemetery, Ware. Calling hours are Sunday from 3:00-5:00 pm. Please make donations in her memory to Sts.
