Jacobo "Jake" Ezequiel Acosta, Jr., of Charlotte, NC, age 44, was born on Friday, December 1, 1972 and left us all too soon suddenly on Friday, March 31, 2017. He was born to Cuban immigrants, the late Argelia Maxima Williams Acosta and Jacobo Acosta in Charlotte, NC. Jake attended St. Ann's Catholic School in Charlotte, NC. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and liked all things that go fast, such as downhill skiing, boating, jet skis and classic muscle cars. Jake was an entrepreneur and a loving father to his three children. There will be a visitation Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at Hankins and Whittington 1111 East Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28203, with his memorial service to follow in the chapel at the funeral home at 3:00PM. Jake was preceded in death by his Father and Mother Jacobo and Argelia Acosta, and his Aunt Mercedes Williams. He is survived by his long-time partner Jennifer Boring of Charlotte, NC; his Daughters Kaylin Daniella Acosta, and Gabriella Maria Acosta, and his Son Jacobo E. Acosta III. He is also survived by his Brother Ezequiel Luis Acosta of Charlotte, NC; his Niece Lauren Acosta Huckleberry and his Nephew Eric Acosta of Charlotte, NC; his Uncle Daniel Williams; Aunt Calixta Lopez; Uncle Manolo Acosta; and his Aunt Zenaida Marrero all of Florida by way of Cuba. Contributions in honor and memory of Jake may be made to any local Shriner's Hospital for Children.
