Charles L. Reese Mr. Reese, 93, of Colfax, NC passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at High Point Regional Medical Center. Charles was born in Jersey Shore, PA, March 17, 1918, son of the late Thomas and Estella Gramley Reese. Mr. Reese was a US Army veteran of WW II and was employed as a controller for the Pennsylvania Railroad for 60 years. During that time Mr. Reese lived in many towns and cities all over the state of Pennsylvania including Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Williamsport. Charles was also a Third Degree Mason for over fifty years and was active in Williamsport Lodge #707 AF & AM. In addition to his parents Mr. Reese was preceded in death by his first wife, Marian. Survivors include his wife of ten years, Margaret Bindeman Benner Reese of Charlotte, NC and her children, Gary Benner, Gail Benner Victory, Frank Benner, Barbara Hudock and William Benner; grandchildren, Kimberly Ugalde, Woody Victory, Chris Benner, Gary Victory, Larry Victory, David Benner, Michael Hudock, Lindsay Benner and Barbara Miller and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his nieces by marriage Mary, Linda and Dawn Harbach all of Jersey Shore, PA. A service to celebrate his life will be held 11:30 AM Friday, April 1, 2011, in the Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service with entombment following in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thirty minutes prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Shriner?s Children Hospital c/o Oasis Temple of the Shrine, 604 Doug Mayes PL, Charlotte, NC 28262.
