Jose Juan Serrano Mr. Serrano, 70, of Charlotte, died on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. Joe was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on June 26, 1940, son of the late Felix Serrano and Margarita Montalvo. At age 10, Cuco (as he was known) moved to Manhattan, NY and then at age 33 moved to Charlotte, NC. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle and friend to all. It always seemed that anyone who met him became his friend in minutes. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Felicita Aurelia Lugaro and his brother, Ramon Serrano. He is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Gloria; daughters, Karen Serrano-Ruiz and her husband Robert, Kathy Serrano-Girardi and Kim Prescod and her husband Mark; sons, Douglas Dellinger and Alexsis Serrano; step-daughter, Elisa McIntyre; nine grandchildren, Jeremy, Joey, Joshua, Kevin, Vanessa, Noah, Nalena, David Michael, and Dougie; sisters, Sonia Fernandez, Nellie Osterhoudt and her husband Kurt, and Hilda Serrano-Garcia and her husband Edwin; and his brother, Felix Serrano and his wife Dana.
