Gerard E Brunet

" Gerard E. Brunet, 70 of Old Bay Rd. died Wednesday at Mary Lane Hospital. He was born November 20, 1931 and was the son of the late Henry and Doria (Ethier) Brunet. He has lived in Belchertown for 32 years, previously living in Holyoke. He retired from Uniroyal Tire Co. where he worked for eight years. He also worked in the paper manugacturing industry for numerous years. Gerard enjoyed gardening, car racing and fishing. He leaves his wife of 38 years Marie (Cross) Brunet and one daughter, Laurie Ann Brunet of Burlington, VT. He also is survived by three sisters, Fern Kelly of Holyoke,Simone Laramee of Belchertown, Laurett Brunet of Florida and one brother, John Maloux of Vergens, VT, and three grandchildren. A funeral service will be held from Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m. followed by a mass at St. Francis Church at 10:00a.m. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. "
