Helen Baker Walker Ms. Walker, 82, of Charlotte died Friday, January 15, 2010 at Southminster in Charlotte, NC. She was born September 17, 1927, in Charleston, WV daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Craigo Baker. Ms. Walker attended Marshall University in Huntington, WV and was retired from the Kanawha County Magistrate?s office. She was a member of St. Luke?s Lutheran Church in Charlotte, NC. Her favorite times were spent with her children, grandchildren and at her condo in Myrtle Beach, SC playing cards with ?the Beach Bunch.? In addition to her parents Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her Stepmother, Ena Baker. Surviving Ms. Walker are her daughter, Ronda Keyser and her husband, the Rev. Cameron Keyser of Charlotte, NC; son, Ron Walker and his wife, Kim of Pawley?s Island, SC; daughter, Robin Boisseau and her husband, Sanford of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Chris Keyser and wife, Tiffany of Fredericksburg, VA, Amy Schaaf and husband, Chris of Charlotte, NC, Ashley Lin and husband, Kevin of Fredericksburg, VA, Emily Ocheltree of Richmond, VA, Evan Ocheltree of Charlotte, NC and Jeremy Pait and wife, Brittany of Norfolk, VA; great-grandson, Zealand Keyser of Fredericksburg, VA and Helen was expecting two more great-grandchildren this year; cousins, Bob Baker of Charleston, WV and Ray Rollins of Orlando, FL and Pama and Rick Rutledge of Charleston, WV, children of the late Christine Rutledge who was a ?sister at heart? and very close friend of Helen?s. A service to celebrate her life will be held at St. Luke?s Lutheran Church on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Steven P. Lorimer officiating. The family would like to thank the nursing staff, dietary staff and the aides at Holly House of Southminster for their dedication and love shown to our mother, grandmother and great-grand mother. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Holly House Fund c/o Southminster, 8919 Park Rd, Charlotte, NC 28210.
