" David A. Wolcott, 43, of Memory Lane died in a motor vehicle accident on Friday morning. Born in Springfield, Aug. 26, 1958, he was the son of Roger Wolcott of E. Longmeadow and the late Elaine (Stickles) Wolcott. David grew up in East Longmeadow, a 1975 graduate of E. Longmeadow High School and lived in Springfield for many years before moving to Palmer 6 years ago. He was a machinist for Marox Company in Holyoke for the past seven years and had previously worked at Smith & Wesson for 10 years. David was a musician from a young age, and was the drummer for two local bands, “Justin” and “The Detonators.” He was also an avid gardener and loved the outdoors. He spent much of his leisure time camping and fishing with his family. David was married in 1985 to the former Laura Radkowski, who survives him along with his three daughters, Ashley, Nicole and Alexis all at home. He is also survived by a brother Robert of E. Longmeadow and a sister Susan Fortier of Rose Glenn, PA. Besides his mother, he was predeceased by a brother, Roger. Calling hours will be Monday evening at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home from 6:00—9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Please make donations in his memory to the David A. Wolcott Memorial Fund, c/o Country Bank, 352 Palmer Road, Ware, MA 01082. "
