Beers and Story - Belchertown
William Franklin Kimball
April 30th, 1925 - August 1st, 2007
"William F. Kimball, Jr., 82, of Chauncey Walker St., died Monday, July 30, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Belchertown, April 30, 1925, he was the son of the late William F. and Pearle (Dunbar) Kimball and has been a life long resident. He spent his working career as the Supervisor of Maintenance and Transportation for the Belchertown School System, retiring in 1992 after 42 years of service. He also served the town as an assessor for many years. Bill was a member of the Vernon Lodge of Masons for 50 years and formerly had a house painting business in town. Among the many ways he will be remembered will be for his love of his wife and family, his enjoyment of reading and traveling, and the gentle presence he was among friends and family. Many in town will long remember and miss Bill, most especially his wife of 54 years, June (Germain), along with his children Patrice Angeloni, Heidi Kimball, and Morgan Kimball all of Belchertown, Tammie Kimball of Canadensis, PA and William F., III of Amherst. His cherished grandchildren Katie and Mark Angeloni, Annie, Miles and Jessica Kimball, and Paige, Morgan, Jr., and Madison Kimball also survive him, along with his brother David of Colrain, and two sisters Nancy Bridges of Westfield and Joan Holloway of Belchertown. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Payson. Friends and family are invited to gather Friday, August 10 at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. to pay respects to the family. All other services are private. For those wishing to make a donation in his memory, please do so to Mercy Hospice, 1236 Main St., Suite 303, Holyoke, 01040. "
