Mary McCannon Mrs. McCannon of Charlotte went home to be with the Lord Monday April 11, 2011. She was an alzheimer?s resident of Liberty Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Charlotte. She was a dedicated wife, loving mother, devoted grandmother and friend. Mary is preceded in death by her daughter Brenda McCannon. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Henry; daughter, Cindy McClain and husband, Jim; grandchildren Josh and Lauren Williams; sisters Peggy Williams, Carolyn Williamson, Beverly Garmon; and sister-in-law Pauline Smith, all of Charlotte. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM, Thursday April 14, 2011, at Calvary United Methodist Church, with a visitation at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at Sharon Memorial Park. Thank you to Community Homecare and Hospice of Monroe. A special thank you to all the folks at Liberty Nursing & Rehab where she was loved and well taken care of for the past 4 ½ years.
