Beers and Story - Belchertown
M. Connie Laplante
April 2nd, 1943 - September 16th, 2017
"South Hadley, Connie Laplante (nee Delisle), age74, died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on September 16th, 2017. She was a devoted wife of Richard Laplante for 43 years, and a loving mother to Stephanie, Brian, Keith, Steven, and Valerie; she was a cherished grandmother to Jonathan, Emily, Maya, Brian, Luke, Brooke, and Taryn. She was devoted sister to Jean Lynch (nee Delisle) who is married to Bob Lynch. She was born and raised in Westfield, MA. She was a long time resident of Granby, MA, and most recently lived in South Hadley, MA, where she owned ERA M. Connie Laplante Real Estate. A student of Westfield High School, Connie graduated in 1961. She graduated from Stetson University with an associate degree and from American International College with a degree in elementary education. After starting a family, she changed course in her career and became a real estate agent; she found her passion in real estate so she obtained her broker’s license and established her own business. She was a trusted real estate broker who was highly regarded in her profession and nationally recognized, winning numerous awards. In addition to owning her business, she gave back to the community by providing leadership on various community and religious organizations. With all of the people she touched, she impacted so many people in a positive way. She had the biggest heart. She always saw the positive in things. She focused on what was possible. She gave whatever she could to support people around her. Connie loved people—she knew no stranger. She not only loved being with people; she loved helping people so they could achieve their dreams. She supported people in ways that others would not imagine. She was irreplaceable to so many who knew her and will be forever loved and missed. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 4 - 7 PM and Friday, September 22, 2017, from 9-10:30 AM at the Beers and Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newtown Street, South Hadley, MA 01075. A Funeral Mass will follow on Friday at 11 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 30 Main Street, South Hadley, MA 01075, with a burial at Notre Dame Cemetery. For those wishing to honor Connies memory, donations may be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. The family will greatly appreciate it."
