Pamela "Pam" Earline Smith Baucom
February 2nd, 1957 - October 12th, 2016
Pamela "Pam" Earline Smith Baucom, of Charlotte, NC, age 59, died suddenly at her home on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Pam was born on February 2, 1957 to the late Danny Freeman Smith and Edna Earl Thomas Smith Steen. Pam was a cook and waitress for Chick-fil-A where she made many friends. She truly enjoyed meeting people. Her family was very important to her, and her granddaughter Miranda was the love of her life. Pam was gifted with a beautiful voice. She could often be heard singing "The Jackson Five" and the Osmond Brothers. She also enjoyed ceramics and scrap booking She was united in marriage at the home of Keith and Linda Smith on December 8, 1979 to Henry Millard Baucom Sr. who preceded her in death on September 20, 2001. Pam's memory will live on in the hearts and minds of her loving family. She is survived by her two sons, Henry Millard Baucom Jr, of Charlotte, NC, and Raymond Willis Baucom of Charlotte, NC; her granddaughter Miranda Alexis Bumgarner; her four siblings Linda Diane Smith -Smith of Asheboro, NC; Gay Dawn Smith Hardin and her husband Tal Hardin of Asheboro, NC; Anthony Wesley "Tony" Kanipe and his wife Kathy of Vancouver, Washington; Carolyn Renee Steen of Lincolnton, NC; her Brother-In-Law David "Slim" Baucom, and her mother-in-law Vergie Hunt Davis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her late parents and late husband she was also preceded in death by her brother Danny Raymond Smith and her sister Mary Jane Smith Martin. Relatives, friends and co-workers are kindly invited to her graveside service at 2:00PM, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Evergreen City Cemetery, 4426 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28205.(Section 8A), with Bishop Lawson Whitson officiating her service. Those who may wish to honor Pam's memory may make contributions to Doves Nest- Charlotte Rescue Mission, 2855 West Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28208.
