November 9th, 1931 - December 16th, 2017
"Granby - William W. English, 86, passed away surrounded by his family at home on December 16, 2017. Born November 9, 1931 in Bellvue, KY, son of Robert and Marie Antoinette (Pulskamp) English. Bill received his Bachelor's degree from UCLA and proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He retired as a paper mill superintendent for Sonoco Products Company after working for over 40 years. Bill was a resident of Granby for over 36 years and a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. In his leisure, he enjoyed deep sea and fresh water fishing. He will be deeply missed by wife of 36 years, Georgette L. (Forest) English of Granby and five children, Julie Peloquin and husband David of Belchertown, Wendy Garnett of Granby, Suzanne English of Granby, Andrea Ott and husband Joseph of Enfield, CT, and Mike English of OH. He is also survived by five siblings, Robert English, Edith Guth, James English, Thomas English, and Joe English. He will also be missed by eight grandchildren, William Joseph, Marijo, Joshua, Alexus, Hope, Noah, William Michael and Russell and one great grandson Jedidiah. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Mary-Jo Holton and a brother Tony English. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home for 9:00 am on Friday, December 22, 2017 to follow to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Burial with military honors will follow in West Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. For those wishing, donations may be made in his memory to the Disabled American Veterans,www.dav.org."
