"Belchertown - Doris (Sedelow) Lattrell, died on December 21, 2017, just 2 months prior to her 100th birthday. Born in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield, February 28, 1918, she was the daughter of Albert and Arthemise (Vincelette) Sedelow and was the youngest of 6, all of whom predeceased her. She lived there all of her life before relocating 13 years ago to live with her daughter in Belchertown. She was very active in St. Matthew's Church and St. Aloysius Church when in Indian Orchard. She also received recognition in 1968 for her dedicated service to the Ludlow Boys and Girls Club. She and her husband enjoyed square dancing many years ago as well as their trips to Canada to visit family. Her mind remained sharp and she continued to enjoy crossword puzzles and word scrambles, and she had all of her Christmas cards written and mailed this year! She will be deeply missed by her 2 children, Ted Lattrell and his wife Alice, and Judith Koob and her husband Dennis, all of Belchertown. She also leaves her precious grandchildren, Kristine Koob, Dennis Koob, Jr. and his wife Sarah, Kyle Koob, and Patrice Lattrelll and Robbie Lattrell. Her 4 precious great grandchildren, Connor, Hayden, Ella and Ethan, as well as many nieces and nephews will also miss her. Besides her parents and siblings, Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years Edward F. Lattrell in 2000. A Funeral Mass will be Thursday, December 28 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church in Belchertown. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 27 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple St. (rte. 202). Though she loved flowers, for those wishing, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, a favorite charity of Doris'.
