"Jonathan P. Geer, 60, a native of Belchertown, passed away suddenly at his home in Boston on January 22, 2018. The son of the late Donald and Priscilla Geer, Jonathan was born in Palmer on June 25, 1957, and grew up in Belchertown until moving with his family to Pittsfield, MA in 1966. He graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1975 during which time he played in the school's marching band. One of his favorite movies was "The Poseidon Adventure", which he watched many times, including in French on a group trip to France many years ago. Jonathan is survived by two brothers: George G. (Rosanne) of Derby, CT; and Donald E. , Jr. (Susan) of Pinellas Park, FL and three nephews: Timothy Geer of Bethlehem, PA; Gilbert Geer and Orlando Gonzalez of Santa Clarita, CA.
