January 11th, 1960 - December 23rd, 2015
Ms. Tipton, 55, of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully at her home. She was born in Oklahoma on January 11, 1960, daughter of the late Howard W. Tipton and Ann W. Tipton and raised in Charlotte. Mary Ann graduated from Charlotte Latin and Central Piedmont Community College and went on to work for the last 30 years at Sharon Towers. She is survived by her brother, Howard W. Tipton, Jr. and his wife Stephanie; niece, Angela Alvarez; Aunt Sandra Gifford; and many special lifelong friends she made at Latin and C.P.C.C. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at St. John's Episcopal Church on Carmel Road, Charlotte NC.
