Kenneth C. Rivet
April 28th, 1955 - June 15th, 2018
"Springfield, Kenneth Rivet, 63, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on June 15. Born April 28, 1955 he was son of the George Rivet and Lorraine (Vermette) Hermanowski. Kenny was raised in South Hadley, lived in Chicopee for many years before moving to Springfield in 2000. He was a skilled welder for 25 years for the former EH Friedrich Company in Holyoke. Ken was a very talented and creative man who enjoyed working with his hands and loved doing woodworking projects. He was the owner of Cre8tive Ideas which specialized in making lifetime double sided cat scratchers that he sold all over the world. He will be deeply missed by wife, Christine (Smith-Delphia) Rivet along with his daughter, Amy Delphia and cherished grandson, Hayden Butler, all of Springfield. His mother, Lorriane and siblings, Donna Rivet of Brimfield, Andy Rivet of Chicopee and Raymond Rivet and his wife Beth of Holyoke along with many nieces and nephews also survive him. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father and his son, Jeremy Delphia. Calling hours will be Thursday, June 21, from 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St. A celebration of Kenny's life will begin at 6:30 pm. Burial will be on Friday, June 22 at 11:00 am at Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley, please meet directly at the cemetery.
