March 9th, 1947 - October 31st, 2018
"Slidell, LA - Diane S. (Monette) Tucker, 71, died on October 31, 2018 at her home surrounded by her precious family and dear friends. Born March 9, 1947 in Palmer, she was the daughter of Raymond and Elsie M. (Keith) Monette. She grew up in Monson and lived in CT for many years working as a social service aide for the CT Department of Children & Family Services before retiring to the greater New Orleans area 12 years ago. She enjoyed many things in life; her animals, family and friends, beautiful sunsets, and most of all her soulmate & husband Don. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 26 years, Don Tucker of Slidell LA, her daughter Denise Drake (Jeffrey) of West Suffield CT, along with her 4 brothers, Thomas A. Brown II (Calma) of Monson, Kenneth Brown (Donna) of Three Rivers, Allan Brown (Sandy) of Feeding Hills, Donald "Joe" Monette (Barbara) of The Villages, FL, and her sister-in-law Julie Monette of Monson. She also leaves her five grandchildren, Joe Niderno (Teresa) of Ellington CT, Nickolas Drake (Jennifer) of Rocky Hill CT, Alex Drake of Simsbury CT, Anna Drake of West Suffield CT, Nikolai Drake of CT, and her two great-grandchildren Logan & Calabrea of Tolland CT. Besides her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Briket and her brother Danny Monette. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, November 10 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Church of Monson followed by burial at Bethany Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, November 9 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St."
