William L. Skidmore
August 10th, 1941 - February 16th, 2015
William L. Skidmore (Bill) of Indian Trail, NC passed away February 16th after a lengthy illness. He was born in Charlotte August 10, 1941 to the late Charles Rhyne and Maude Irvine Skidmore. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Steve Skidmore and Charles Rhyne Skidmore Jr. Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years Becky Elam Skidmore, his sons Lee Skidmore (Jennifer) and Matthew Skidmore (Becky) both from the Atlanta area and his daughter Ashley Cowan (Chad) of Charlotte. Known by his grandchildren as "Pop Pop" he is survived by Marley, Will, Katie, Max, Weston, Emerson, and Wynn. Also surviving are his brothers Bruce (Kay) of Charleston SC, and John (Mary) and Dale (Beverly) both from Charlotte. The family will be receiving friends and family at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC on Wednesday, February 18th from 3:00pm to 5:00 pm and ask in lieu of flowers that donations instead be considered to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, 355 Lexington Avenue, 15th Floor, New York, NY 10017.
