Mrs. Crosby, 88, of Charlotte, NC passed away on December 24, 2014. She was born on December 21, 1926 in Siler City, NC daughter of the late Earl Wrenn and Evelyn Burgin Wrenn. Mrs. Crosby attended Central High School and Queens College and then worked for Richter & Company for over 40 years. She enjoyed tennis, arts & crafts and bridge. She was a long time member of Myers Park Presbyterian Church, the Junior Women's Club and Cedar Forest Tennis Club. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crosby was preceded in death by her husband, Claud D. Crosby, a Charlotte architect. She is survived by her children, Candyce Eller and her husband, Ralph Ricketson and Claud Crosby and his wife, Maggie Crosby; grandchildren, Claud, Bryan, and Isabel Crosby; Lara, Caroline and Chris Eller; Katherine Beck; and Ralph and Mark Ricketson; 3 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Josephine Rice. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 29, 2014 in the chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home from 10:00 until the service. Memorials may be made to the Holy Angels Nursery, 6600 Wilkinson Blvd., Belmont, NC 28012.
