"Ludlow, George F. Herrick, 83, died peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. Born in Jamaica, VT, November 27, 1935, he lived in Leyden for 30 years before relocating to Palmer and most recently Ludlow. Growing up in rural Vermont, he developed a lifelong affinity for nature. A life-long member of the USW union, he worked for Diamond International in Thorndike for 35 years before retiring. He will be deeply missed by his longtime companion Rita Magnan of W. Lebanon, NH, his 2 children, Joanne Haley of Palmer and Daryl Herrick and his wife Beautiful Trifosa of Oldsmar, FL, and along with his 3 siblings Leonard “Johnny” Herrick of Brattleboro, VT, Arlene Bernard of Greenfield and Joyce Aldrich and her husband Alfred of Spofford, NH. He was proceeded in death by his siblings Mildred Chase and Wallace Herrick. Additionally, he leaves 6 grandchildren Todd, Jeff and Amanda Deroches, Timothy and Hannah Haley, Carlo Herrick-Garcia and 7 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Monday, October 14 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will be Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N Main St. Burial will follow in the family lot at Round Hill Cemetery in Townshend Townsend, VT For online guestbook, please visit www.beersandstory.com."
