David G. Proctor
January 21st, 1931 - April 11th, 2014
Mr. Proctor, 83, formerly of Charlotte, NC died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Moosehaven in Orange Park, FL. David was born January 21, 1931 in Anderson, SC a son of the late Folsom and Mary Jenkins Proctor. Mr. Proctor was a Merchant Marine and a US Navy veteran and a former member of First Baptist Church in Charlotte. David was a retired machinist. He sang with the Singing Men of America in 1994 and was a member of the Plaza Male Chorus for eleven years. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine. Survivors include his daughter, Mary P. Cormack and husband, Christopher; son, Harlan D. Proctor and wife, Traci; granddaughters, Angela and Emily Cormack and Camryn and Madison Proctor. Many nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 2, 2014, in Forest Lawn East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made in David's name to Moosehaven, 1701 Park Ave., Orange Park, FL 32073.
