Belchertown - Marie C. (LaPierre) Gallerani, 86, passed away March 12, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born on March 15, 1933 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Aldhemor and Catherine (Leahey) LaPierre. Marie has lived in Belchertown since 1963 and was a member of St. Francis Church. She graduated from St. Michael's Cathedral in Springfield in 1951. She worked at the New England Telephone Company, Hampshire National Bank and retired from the University of Massachusetts, Campus Center Cashier's Office after 24 years. She was the Unit Chairman for the Girl Scouts of Belchertown, President of the American Legion Auxillary in Belchertown and a volunteer at Leeds Hospital. Marie was predeceased by her husband Edward A. Gallerani in 2016. She is survived by four daughters, Rachael M. Kaloroumakis (Francis Crochetiere) of Springfield, Nina M. Stasiowski of Monson, Elizabeth Adams (Bruce) of Belchertown and Deborah Wilder (Douglas) of Springfield. She will also be missed by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. All services are private and Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to Vero Nursing Home's recreation department, 573 Granby, Rd., South Hadley, MA 01075.
